Teams
Fixed teams are pairs of two players who stay together for the entire tournament. Teams are required for Tennis-format matches and for Pools + Knockout draws. Each team has a name and two confirmed participants.

Creating a Team
- Go to the Teams tab in your tournament admin panel
- Click Add Team
- Enter a team name (e.g. "Smith / Johnson")
- Select two confirmed participants — one for Player 1 and one for Player 2
- Save — the team appears in the teams list
Each player can only belong to one team per tournament. This is enforced — you cannot add the same player to two different teams.
When Teams Are Needed

Managing Teams
From the Teams tab you can:
- Edit — change the team name or swap a player (only while the tournament is in Draft)
- Delete — remove a team that has no matches yet
- View roster — see which two players are on each team
Once a team has played a match, its roster is locked — you cannot change the players. This ensures scoring integrity.
Teams in Categories
For fixed-partner doubles in a category, teams are created automatically when you add a pair via the category's Add Pairs action. You do not need to pre-create them in the Teams tab — the system handles it.
