Notifications
The notification system keeps you informed about everything happening in your tournaments. You will receive notifications for status changes, match results, invitations, and announcements.
The Notification Bell
In the sidebar, the Notifications link (bell icon) shows a red badge with the number of unread notifications. Click it to open the full notifications page.
The badge updates automatically every 30 seconds. You do not need to refresh the page.
Notification Types
| Type | When you receive it |
|---|---|
| Status Change | Your participant status changes (Requested → Waitlisted → Confirmed) |
| Match Result | A match you played in is completed |
| Invitation | An organizer invites you to a tournament, club, or as umpire |
| Announcement | The organizer sends a message to all confirmed participants |
| Tournament Status | The tournament moves to a new phase (Registration opens, In Progress, Completed) |
Managing Notifications
- View all — the notifications page lists all notifications, newest first. Unread ones have a highlighted background.
- Mark as read — click a notification to mark it as read. Or use Mark All Read at the top to clear everything at once.
- Click to navigate — clicking a notification takes you to the relevant page (the tournament, match, or invitation).
Tips
- Keep notifications enabled — they are the primary way organizers communicate
- Check notifications before your tournament day for any last-minute schedule changes
- If you miss a notification, you can always find the information on the relevant page (tournament page, invitations list, etc.)
