Invitations
Organizers can invite you to join their tournaments, clubs, or serve as an umpire. All invitations appear on your Invitations page, accessible from the sidebar.
Viewing Your Invitations
Go to Invitations in the sidebar (envelope icon). The page shows all pending invitations organized by type:
- Tournament invitations — an organizer wants you to play in their event
- Club invitations — an invite to join a club as a member
- Judge invitations — an organizer wants you to umpire matches
Accepting or Declining
Each invitation card has two buttons:
- Accept — you are added immediately:
- Tournament: your status becomes Confirmed (no waitlist step)
- Club: you become a member
- Judge: you receive the Judge role on your account
- Decline — the invitation is removed. You can be re-invited later.
What Happens After Accepting
| Invitation type | Result | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Tournament | You are Confirmed in the tournament | Check Tournaments (Playing tab) to track your matches |
| Club | You are a club member | The club appears in your profile; you may get the Admin role |
| Judge | You receive the Judge role | Check Judging → My Matches for assigned matches |
If the tournament has Auto-Confirm Umpires turned off, your judge invitation may require a second confirmation step by the organizer before you can score.
Key Rules
- You cannot be both a confirmed player and a confirmed umpire in the same tournament
- Accepting a tournament invitation counts against the tournament's player cap
- You can hold multiple roles across different tournaments simultaneously
