How to Score

Recourt offers two ways to score matches: via QR code / token link (no login required) or via authenticated login (for registered judges). Both methods use the same scoring board interface.

Method A — QR Code / Token (No Login)

The fastest way to start scoring. Anyone with the QR code or link can score:

  1. Scan the QR code on a court or match card, or open the shared link
  2. Enter your name on the first visit (stored locally on your device)
  3. The scoring board opens — start scoring immediately

QR codes can be found:

  • On court cards in the Courts tab — scan to score the match currently on that court
  • On match cards — scan to score that specific match
  • Printed and posted at the physical court by the organizer

Method B — Authenticated Login

For judges with a Recourt account who are confirmed for the tournament:

  1. Log in to Recourt
  2. Go to Judging → My Matches in the sidebar
  3. Find the match you are assigned to
  4. Click to open the full scoring board

The Scoring Board

The scoring board shows:

  • Home and Away sides with player names
  • +1 Home and +1 Away buttons — tap to add a point
  • Current score displayed prominently
  • Undo button — reverts the last point scored

Auto-Start

Scoring a Scheduled match automatically transitions it to In Progress. You do not need to manually start the match.

Match-Ending Points

When you score a point that would end the match, an "End Match?" confirmation dialog appears. It shows:

  • The winning team
  • The final score
  • Three options: Confirm (end the match), Undo (revert), or Cancel (close the dialog without changes)

This prevents accidental match completion — you must explicitly confirm the final point.

Undo

Undo reverts the last point scored. There is no limit on undos while the match is in progress. If the match is already completed, you cannot undo — contact the organizer.

First Serve (Tennis / Padel)

For tennis and padel matches, the scoring board has a First serve control with a 🎾 button for each side. Tap the side that serves first. A tennis-ball indicator shows whose serve it is, and the choice persists across page refreshes. Use Change to switch it.

Americano/Mexicano point-counting matches do not track serve, so this control does not appear for those formats.
